Purpose of Committee:
- Develop PEIREA’s relationship with the Regulator at all levels (Board/Leadership and staff). Include clarity of roles and the proposed direction going forward to collectively raise the profession.
- Advocate to modernize the Real Estate Trading Act.
- Share national CREA messages locally in support of national objectives and local priorities
- Develop and implement a plan for advocacy focused on the PEIREA value to elevate the profession and trust
- Establish key criteria for those organizations/groups that PEIREA aligns with in terms of advocacy and public awareness efforts

Purpose of the Committee:
The Arbitration Committee of the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association shall process all claims made regarding commission disputes between Firm Members of the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association.

Purpose of the Committee:
The Board shall create a standing Discipline Committee which shall be composed of not less than three and not more than seven Members of the Association, all of whom shall have been Members for at least two years. The Discipline Committee shall:
(a) hold hearings on the review of any decision of the Executive Officer under sections 4.02 [failure to pay membership dues]; and
(b) hold hearings of complaints brought to it by the Professional Standards Committee.

Purpose of the Committee:
To be a resource to the Board of Directors in developing a provincial, measurable approach toward learning and development that will enhance the education for pre-licensing course. The mandate of the Pre-Licensing Education Committee is to make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining to all Pre-Licensing education matters relating to the Associations partnership with Holland College for the delivery of pre-licensing education on behalf of the Department of Justice per the Real Estate Trading Act. The Education Committee is to make recommendations to the Board of Directors pertaining to all professional development members of the association.

Purpose of Task Force:
The purpose of this Task Force is to develop a strategic approach to improve the education system for pre-licensing/elevating the standards for professional excellence. Identify options and proposed recommendations for the Board’s consideration and approval.

Purpose of the Committee:
The Member Engagement Committee’s (MEC) purpose is to closely connect the membership to the Board to identify opportunities and trends that meet the changing needs of the membership. As an influential body the MEC discusses issues of importance to REALTORS® in general and specifically and offers guidance to the Board of Directors of the PEIREA.
